Abstract

The study investigated how Internet of Things (IoT) applications, personal drive, and choices concerning financial commitments interrelate. Utilizing a qualitative approach, the research focused on small and medium nterprise (SME) proprietors to delve into the factors that inspire their investment decisions. It emerged that being digitally literate plays a key role in moderating these decisions. A notable connection was found between the adoption of IoT solutions and the impetus to invest. IoT's impact on shaping investment approaches was clear, highlighting digital literacy as a critical factor influencing monetary actions. The findings promote the idea that individuals should boost their digital know-how, that financial advisors should consider customized advice techniques, and that digital
literacy components should be integrated into educational programs. This research offers new insights into the dynamics of financial decision-making in an increasingly digital economy, pinpointing the essential nature of embracing technology and developing digital skills.
